Hi guys/gals

I have been collecting for 25+ years and am a Minnesota guy. Took a break in the 90's like many, but really got back into it around 2002. My collection is a bit random and go for cards of players I enjoyed watching and what they brought to the sport. Design plays a big factor as well as leaning towards rookie cards when available.

I used to be a regular on the old BMB boards as bmp1 as well as FCB. I am on BO quite a bit under this user, but thought I would look into this place as I heard good thigs about the members and not so much drama that BO can have. Below are some of my favorite cards with the last one being my all time favorite to this day. Thanks

And this is my favorite. Worked at a pet store and would feed Christians shark when he would travel for basketball. Played a little golf and he signed this for me when he was traded to the hawks and came back to visit.

Thanks for reading and looking everyone. I look forward to reading the forums here and being part of the discussions. Any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks guys. I started reading some of the threads and there is some great conversation on basketball cards here. I have recognized some of the members from other forums over here as well. Look forward to contributing anyway I can. Thanks

Welcome to the website and thanks for sharing your collection. I am also a Laettner fan - made even more so from watching the ESPN 30/30 documentary.

Welcome. I live in MN so I got to see plenty of Laettner. I have his auto on a baseball as my buddy and I went to Sportmart in Roseville and he was shopping for workout equipment and hardly anyone was there of course. Pretty sure an employee tipped us off lol.

Laettner was a really nice guy to get to know. I understand not everyone might think highly of him, but personally he was always nice and appreciative. The old memories and taking pictures when you actually had to get them developed. Smile

Hello and welcome from the great state of Texas! The Corpus Christi area to be exact. I strictly collect 2003-04 UD Exquisite and mainly just the very low #ed cards (10 and below) since I own pretty much everything in the higher serial number range. (Not nearly all but a large percentage)

You have a very eclectic collection of cards and I really enjoy that. As I mentioned 95% of my stuff if probably exquisite but I absolutely love your Zeke National treasure being from Texas, of course that Mickey Mantle, and the LBJ chrome refractor just to name a few. Another favorite of mine would be the Shaw because he's a Texas high school graduate (San Antonio Cole) and my senior year we actually beat them in basketball to advance to the state tournament.

And then of course you have the pistol pete Letterman. Gorgeous card. Not trying to cherry pick but if you are looking to trade or sale any of those cards please put me at the front of the list!

I'm conclusion, welcome to hobbykings.com and enjoy your stay! There are plenty of fantastic members here. Don't be afraid to ask questions as well.

Thanks and welcome! Aaron!

Welcome BMP

The Laettner story is very nice.

Made me wonder how do you feed sharks, just dump the gold fish or something?

Thank you mr gem mint. I never really sell any of my PC Cards and just add over time. If I do I will certainly keep you posted. The zeke and Ryan came from trying a couple of breaks of repackaged product. I loved the cards and that is why they are in with some of the others. The rest I have just bought off eBay or forums.

Here is a solo pic of the mantle. This is my favorite PC Card outside of the Laettner. There might be a time I move the zeke as I don't have much of an attachment and got it in a break.

As for the question about feeding his shark. Christian had a fish tank that looked like a hot tub. He had only one shark in it that was about 3 feet long and would only eat live fish. I would go over when he traveled and simply put the large baitfish in the tank and the shark did the rest Razz

That Shaq logoman is absurd! Holy cow that is cool. Welcome to Hobbykings. We are a small tribe, but the people here are great. It's honestly the only place I go anymore for hobby related info.
