Wow this kid has been as good as advertised. 14 of his 21 outs have been strikeouts....6 straight I think on strikeouts and 10 straight since the 2-run HR he allowed....this kid is bad donkey...also he's struck out each Pirate at least once

I'll admit that's the most fun I've had watching baseball in a LOONNNNGGG time...can't wait to use him in MLB '11 next year Laughing

Now if only his cards would come down to a value I am willing to pay

Don't understand why they didn't let him go at least another inning. He was still very sharp and he could've set the K's record. That woulda been real cool too see. Cool

wow

i can't believe you guys are all over his nuts after he beat the pirates.

the pirates...

its still a great start... he gave up a 2 run home run and obviously a lot of people don't watch a lot of baseball. rookie pitchers are weened for a reason... they pitch a ton in high school and college so once they reach the pros they don't like a high pitch count.

lets see how he pitches against some teams with better lineups... he did strike out 14 which is impressive as hell but keep it in perspective

I knew someone would bring up that it was the Pirates..doesn't matter what team he faced, unless it was the Orioles, it was still a damn impressive debut...if you want to be an "donkey" about things go join the Lakers/Celtics thread Laughing Wink

I heard he was on a 60-70 pitch count, apparently not the case, but he most likely will be shut down in August which will suck. Look at Mike Leake in Cincinnati...dude has been amazing all year long...as a rookie...right out of college

This kid is amazing. Shocked I only caught about half of his debut (because of the C's game), but that had to be the funnest game I've watched in a long time.

The Indians are about to be WTFpwned next.
